Set in the wilderness of a majestic and savage land called Oros, Far Cry Primal takes the series in the Stone Age where man was definitely not at the top of the food chain. In a world where woolly mammoths and sabre-toothed tigers are just ready to kill you, some humans(mostly foe and some friend), tribes of humans are at war with one another, danger lurks at very nook and corner, and you’re a seasoned hunter called Takkar, the sole survivor of an ambush on his hunting group, attempting to re-unite your lost tribe there is no place for doubt of not having many of those exhilarating moments we get in a Far Cry game. The open Far Cry series going prehistoric, a setting that perfectly suits it hunter or gatherer gameplay, is a curveball thrown by Ubisoft at the franchise after the Far Cry 3 and 4.

Ubisoft Montreal is completely the opposite of insane to make a Far Cry game without any guns as violent animals become the trade-off for weaponry. Players will tame animals to do their bidding, hunt for food, fiend off dangerous predators, craft weapons and tools (sometimes from parts of killed beasts) and combat against other tribes to conquer Oros. You can almost instantly tame the dangers of the wild and turn them form vicious attackers to loyal minions in seconds. As interesting as it may seem, it isn’t easy. You need bait to lure it or distract it so you can get close enough to it to appease it without it attacking you, just to tame the animal. As you tame animals and move further into the game, you can gain the ability to purchase skills and tame newer categories of predators. You could also take a second to make sure your animals are okay and heal them or pet them to pull of your “ east master” role. A player can choose or not choose to tame animals at all in the game. Though the game can be made easier or difficult depending on choices, it is not necessary to tame
