In the video, Fareed Zakaria does an amazing of job speaking to the graduating class of 2014 at Sarah Lawrence College. Fareed spoke on how special and unique the College is. He made sure to address everyone that needed to be addressed, including Nadia Ramonas (One of the founders of Khan Academy). I had no idea how Khan Academy was created, so to learn that piece of information was intriguing. I love the way he presented. He spoke very precise on each point spoke on and made. Due to the fact Sarah Lawrence College is a liberal arts college, Mr. Zakaria made sure to enlighten the audience on the values of a liberal arts education. I did not know how serious a liberal arts education was until I watch his speech. He made some good and valid points about getting a liberal arts education. He went into details about the values of a liberal arts education. he, also tells you what a liberal education can do for you. According to Fareed, The Governors of Florida, Texas, and North Carolina have decided to cut the tax funding for a liberal arts education. The reason is because they feel as though liberal art is not really important as engineering is. Liberal arts may not seem important be it really is. Any job a person may have includes a form of literal arts rather a person realizes it or not. A liberal arts education is really major to have because it teaches a person how to write and speak very precisely, and also clearly.
