However, the fat acceptance movement has been met with criticism and backlash, with some individuals arguing that it promotes unhealthy lifestyles and normalizes obesity. Some healthcare professionals argue that obesity can lead to health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, and that promoting acceptance of obesity can be harmful to individuals’ health.
