What is Federalism ? Federalism is power being shared between the National Government. The Constitution is broken down three types of government powers, Enumerated powers, Reserved powers, Concurrent powers. Federalism allows each state to deal with what it feels the need to do. To ensure the government is effective and citizens' rights are protected. It was rough getting the national government to share powers, but years later it did happen.
