In Gloria Steinem’s article “Our Revolution Has Just Begun”, the work with the Feminist movements hasn’t ended, but just opened up another door to the next generation, as well as the equality in international lands to fight for women’s societal or human rights. The second wave of feminism starting in the late 1960s and ending about the early 1980s; they fought for women’s rights in “all spheres of life”(Kirk, G. G-5). At the end of the second wave, a lot of people thought that the movement had ended and that there is no need for any more feminist movements. However, Gloria Steinem stated, “...I see more diverse and determined young feminists than ever before…” (Steinem 28). In the article the need to show that the women’s rights are still in need. Steinem wanted to display the need for childcare, equality of pay the social class difference that women face today.She has also used the words discrimination, childcare and pay throughout the article to show the fight of civil rights. …show more content…

Whatsoever, Steinem’s article has been worked through cities, such as New Delhi and the Democratic Republic showing an increase in women’s movements (Steinem’s 27). The women want to be able to control their bodies for themselves, they are fighting against patriarchal society.
