Feyre, a girl who takes care of her family without reward or without thanks. One day she kills a wolf or worse a fey. Killing a fey will be punished, she knows this and still, she does it. If Feyre can prove through three trials how much she loves Tamlin, Amarantha will let them go. Feyre barely survives the trials, with help from the brutal high lord of the Night Court, Rhysand. Feyre and Tamlin go back home, but Feyre is not who she was. She was killed by Amarantha and turned into a fey and what Feyre had to do, she will probably never forgive herself for that. Feeling miserable and puking up her guts every night, Feyre tries to move on with Tamlin, but they barely speak and Tamlin does not let Feyre leave the house. On their wedding day everything changes, Rhysand shows up calling in his bargain -he made a bargain with Feyre under the mountain, he would save her life if Feyre would spend one week each month with him-. Rhysand takes Feyre to the Night Court and learns her to read and shield. Rhysand having the power of the mind tells Feyre that because of the bargain they made he can feel everything she feels, it is like a bridge between their minds. As it turns out war is coming and Feyre is going to have to choose who she wants to be with and who she is meant to be with. Can Feyre survive this, while protecting the ones she
