Comparison Book Vs Film The film “Macbeth” by roman Polanski is not alike the book “Macbeth“. The movie produced by Roman Polanski in 1979 does not follow the book version entirely. Parts of the characters’ actions in the film version are not spelled out in the print version of the play. Also some depictions of the scenes in the film are not well structured.
The movie adaptation by Rupert Goold instead takes place in a World War II esque era, and it expands upon the rhetorical appeals in the book, by adding visuals that assist the viewer in fully comprehending the original text. Through the uses of different visual techniques, such as panning, facial expressions, and editing, allow for the director to emphasize the meaning of a text by making the message into a visual medium. Lady Macbeth uses rhetorical appeals by evoking emotions into Macbeth by questioning his masculinity, and exhibiting Macbeth feel guilt in changing his mind about murdering Duncan for the title of king. In turn, this scene is enhanced by the Goold adaptation of Macbeth by using visual rhetoric techniques, such as camera zoom, facial expressions, and body language, in order to stress the rhetorical appeals used by Lady Macbeth. Questioning his manhood, Lady Macbeth is able to use rhetorical appeals in order to persuade Macbeth into executing King Duncan.

In the case of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the largest difference from the play to film was the role of Ross. In the film adaptation of Macbeth, Ross is a developed and crucial character to the plot. This is shown through his involvement in Macbeth’s schemes, relationship with Macbeth, and loyalty to power in Scotland.
Macbeth is a renowned play about a man dominated by his appetite for power, the same appetite that led to his demise. There have been many adaptations of this acclaimed play and my group’s own adaptation has added to the list. Essentially, for my group’s Macbeth scene adaptation, we decided to focus on changing the diction, setting, and characters of the original play. Diction is important in a piece of writing because it determines how the audience will interpret it. For our Macbeth adaptation we made the decision to greatly change the diction.
The way a play is composed depends widely on the intended audience and setting in which the author is surrounded by and wishes to portray throughout their text. This is evident in the way the same overall story of Shakespeare's Macbeth gained cultural variation when it was produced into the film, The Throne of Blood, by Akira Kurosawa. The same themes and story line are evident with relatable characters to each of the different texts. This creates a shared meaning from an older work for a different audience that is found through the themes that are expressed through character alterations, the imagery of the play. The background of these texts begin in two significantly different places and cultures.
Throughout the Play Macbeth written by William Shakespeare, Macbeth is a man who goes through different characteristical shifts. With the clear use of different analytical techniques in the play macbeth, It makes it easier for us, the readers to deeply follow along from beginning to end. Through keen use of action, soliloquy, and dialogue, Shakespeare causes any audience to react sympathetically to Macbeth’s negative attributes and perhaps even relate. For instance, Lady Macbeth’s manipulation is an aspect many readers can level with. Once it becomes clear that Macbeth’s mental health is diminishing, the audience inevitably begins to pity him. In his final moments, the desperation Macbeth feels is hard for the audience to ignore. Evaluating Macbeth’s character in full rather than focusing only on his negative attributes inevitably evokes sympathy from the reader.
As for the director 's choice in wardrobe and props associated to each scene couldn 't be better. The details portrayed throughout the scene in props and wardrobe went very well in contrast to the location and time period. The performance provided many examples related to themes discussed in theater but the most obvious were endowment, sense memory, and social economic. The meaning of endowment is for the actor to provide similar qualities to an object that it may not have.
Regardless of where one lives, nature surrounds them. It is quiet in the winter, blossoms in the spring, flourishes in the summer, and then finally it lays to rest in autumn. Often in literature, writers utilize natural imagery because it is something that can be easily understood by everybody regardless of race, gender, religion, creed, and ethnicity. This imagery provides a deeper understanding of the book, play, story, or poem for the reader. The play is a tragedy and it specifically shows the tragedy of humans as they self destruct. There is a use of literary devices to create different aspects of each character allowing them to portray different images of themselves that wouldn’t be noticed initially. Compared to how the audience views each character in the beginning of the play, the image develops into something new as different aspects are revealed. The characters and their continuous changes become the essence of the play.
In the twenty-first century, the plays of William Shakespeare may at first appear dated and irrelevant: they use archaic language, are set in the age of Kings and Queens, and the Kingdom of England. However, it would be plainly mistaken to construe that Shakespeare’s works do not still remain integral to a twenty-first century society. Shakespeare’s plays gave the words and expressions one uses every day, revolutionized the art of theater as it was known, and forewarned about issues that would unknowingly still apply centuries later. Therefore, Shakespeare has had a profound effect on our lives by enriching our language and culture, as well as providing ideas that would still apply five centuries later, and it would thus behoove us to learn from his works and life.
Before a play begins, I see people sitting in hard metal chairs. Seeing the people fills me with nervousness and excitement. Every person looks different than the last. I see different faces, different clothes, and different expectations on what they are about to see.
