Every culture is unique and they all have their own followers. When different culture comes together, both conflicts and opprotunities can exists. It depends on how people conceptualize culture. In conceptualizing the culture, socio-cultural anthropologist and the public have different insights.
For the public, they usually understand how culture is important to a person and their society. That’s because they also treasure their own culture which build up their identity and make them proud. Therefore, they are so egar to keep and protect their own culture. That is why when other cultures are trying to get into their society, they are so panic. However, they also agree to let others to keep their own traditions, they agree to “mutual respect”

They are important to tell the public about the insights that how culture should be used to build a harmonious place but not creating conflicts. Abraham used Andalusia as an example, Andalusians seldom make new friends as they are comfortable in their own groups. This make it difficult for the new comers to meet and get along with them (2014, P.129). Anthropologists are then very important to tell the Andalusians that letting others join into their local traditions is not always a bad thing. Knowing new friends and giving them a chance to know about local culture is the correct way to avoid the new comers threaten the local culture, as they are worried. Also, as Abraham recapped what a 51-year-old female participant stated, they want to rigidly fix the new comers performing their own customs into private space and adapt to the local ways of living in the public (2014, P.125). Anthropologist should let them know doing so is actually contradicting some of their important values, e.g. “mutual respect” and “convivencia” (Abraham, 2014, P.128). Last but not least, although immigration is somehow historically rooted in Andalusia, the local are starting to think immigration as something that threaten their society’s stability and harmony.
