The average household owns at least five devices that require an internet connection. As many as six percent of households that own at least fifteen devices such as: smartphones, tablets, televisions, gaming consoles, as well as digital photo frames. The increase in technology has caused many people to question whether or not it is beneficial. The advancement in technology has made a positive impact in the world today. With the improvement of technology schools have been able to help students with their education. Instead of searching through scattered papers for a particular document, that same information kept in a digital format can be searched in a fraction of the time by using the title of the document or keywords (Vulcan). Furthermore, folders on computers help organizing documents seeing that those same papers no longer need scattered on a desk. According to Dragon, having technology makes processing along with retrieval of data or information faster--leading to the replacement of physical employees-- that then lead to saving time. As a result, minimizing human error. Moreover, Dragon states that technology makes keeping information up to date more simple to accomplish, if a document needs updating, it is far easier to do with technology rather than without. When technology completes more work than humans it may seem like a negative, however, it saves time and makes less mistakes. Large numbers of businesses would not be where they are right now without the use of technology. Technology in today’s world improves daily life and impacts it in a positive way. School systems are now able to improve their test scores, teach students who have a difficult time without technology, and makes research uncomplicated.
