When you read a book you expect it to have one definitive ending to the story. What if one book had its ending changed after a few of its original books were already published? The changes made for those endings were very small but radically changed the story. The book is passing by Nella Larson. The change in the ending of the book confused book historians because those two different endings give 2 different outcomes.
Lizzie found her father 11 am dead in the setting room and told Bridget. Before the police had arrived, three people were already at the crime scene besides Lizzie and Bridget. Mrs. Adelaide Churchill, a next door neighbor had arrived, Mrs. Bowen, Dr. Bowen, and Alice Russell arrived before the police arrive at the crime scene. Only to police arrive first at the scene, the rest of the department were on department’s annual picnic. When Miranda walks to the post office in the cold only to see that is is closed, she thinks about giving up.

When Lizzie and her sister received the money they bought a house on a hill. The house had all the modern texters that their family home did not. It had a telephone,new plumbing, and the servants were the highest paid in the whole town. The town wanted Lizzie to leave, fall river and rid them of her presence.
The book revolves around Lisa and her family's grieving process and how they cope with Jimmy's loss. Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be a challenging experience, and also dealing with it while sticking to your roots and traditions in modern society can be difficult. When Lisa first learns about Jimmy's disappearance, she experiences a lot of emotions, which include shock, disbelief, and confusion. She could not stop thinking about their childhood, the moments they shared, and the love and laughter that filled their home. Lisamarie’s grief affected her everyday life and really took a beating on her well-being and her identity: “Everything blurred and slid together, and I shook and felt like I was going to throw up” (122).

The story opens with Mrs. Wright imprisoned for strangling her husband. A group, the mostly composed of men, travel to the Wright house in the hopes that they find incriminating evidence against Mrs. Wright. Instead, the two women of the group discover evidence of Mr. Wright’s abuse of his wife. Through the women’s unique perspective, the reader glimpses the reality of the situation and realizes that, though it seemed unreasonable at the time, Mrs. Wright had carefully calculated her actions. When asked about the Wrights, one of the women, Mrs. Hale, replies “I don’t think a place would be a cheerful for John Wright’s being in it” (“A Jury of Her Peers” 7).
She learns of her husband’s death in an accident and falsely finds a renewed joy for life as she is free from the burden of marriage. Tragically she goes to the front door as it is being opened with a key, to find Mr. Mallard still alive, causing her to die of heart
The story begins with Mrs. Mallard getting the news that her husband had died in a terrible train accident. At first Mrs. Mallard was racked with grief for the loss of her husband. As the story progresses, Mrs. Mallard says, “There was something coming to her and she was waiting for it, fearfully. What was it? She did not know.”
Kate uses many literary elements in the story the first element used would be foreshadowing. She used foreshadowing in the first sentence of the story saying “ Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care was taken to break to her as gently as possible the news of her husband 's death.” This line foreshadows the end of the story when she Mrs. Mallard dies because of her heart condition. Kate uses foreshadowing also by putting quotation marks around the
When Richard’s heard the news of her husband’s death, he assumed Mrs. Mallard would be devastated. While everyone knew Mrs. Mallard was “afflicted with heart trouble” (57), him and her sister, Josephine, wanted to give her the news with “great care” (57). Josephine broke the news to Mrs. Mallard in “broken sentences”
The cold war was caused by many things and involved many people. The USA and the Solviet Union were huge parts of the cold war. One cause of the cold war was tht the Solviet Union wanted to spread communism world wide. Another cause of the cold war was the atomic weapons in America. One huge consequence of the cold war was that both the USA and the Solviet Union built a huge amount of atomic weapons.
