The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire was a devastating fire that killed 146 girls in New York City (Leap for Life, Leap for Death). At this time, citizens of New York were furious and demanded that the government do something to prevent future tragedies. The government responded and the reforms that the government made, it changed the future of New York industry. The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, one of history’s deadliest fires, came as a result of outrageously unsafe working conditions, led to a high death toll and injury total, but, ultimately resulted in reforms that helped safeguard future factory workers.
In the article, Heroic Firefighter’s Story, published by ABC News, the author focuses on the story of a particular firefighter who risked and lost his own life in attempt to rescue victims stuck inside the World Trade Center during 9/11, Timothy Stockpole. The article first introduces us to Stockpole by presenting a background of him, describing a life-threatening incident he first had while stuck in a burning house 3 years before his actual death. Then, it continues to explain what happened to him as he attended his (unknowingly) last day of work, while going into detail about what happened soon after his death, such as the fact that 10,000 people showed up at his funeral. The tone of this article could be described as melancholic, because

While reading “The Las Vegas shooting”, I learned that someone shot a gun while at a country festival and a man, Jonathan Smith, helped save people. While helping people keep safe and unharmed, he got shot twice, once in the neck and another in the stomach area. He made it out alive, fortunately, but the doctor’s kept the bullet in his neck to keep away from further damage. After the accident was ended, Smith got asked a few questions, some in the range of “Why did you do what you did?”, his answer was “I don’t see myself that way, I would want someone to do the same for me. No one deserves to lose a life coming to a country festival.”

There is a world where firefighters, who put out fires in the modern world, burn people alive and turn their houses to ashes for simply owning books. This society exists in the novel “Fahrenheit 451”, by Ray Bradbury. In this essay, the world of “Fahrenheit 451” will be compared and contrasted to modern day society. One difference between “Fahrenheit 451” and the modern world is the firefighters.
Everyone has seen a adorable, smart, and brave german shepherd with the guy in the uniform. But do people ever question “why their bond is so amazing and what they do on a daily basis?”... well we are about to find out. I researched the life of a K-9 officer and also interviewed Shawn Diedrich, who is a K-9 officer at the city of Muskego. I have learned many different aspects of the criminal justice system and how they work.
This job is seen as a high honor and the firemen themselves get
Throughout Rose Under Fire, Elizabeth Wein implements the theme of loyalty, corresponding with Rose being loyal to her fellow inmates, and the development of Rose throughout the novel. In the book, Rose’s development is a key factor to developing the story itself, and Rose’s loyalty to her other inmates helps her survive in this horrendous concentration camp called Ravensbrück. Initially, Rose is a kind character. She cares for her co-pilots and her boyfriend, Nick. However, as the story progresses after she is put into Ravensbrück, her personality starts to alter.
There is not much better than a new Hallmark Channel film, and Campfire Kiss is definitely a new favorite of mine. Interestingly enough, I had interviewed most of the principal roles with one exception--who was Dylan Kingwell? As I was reviewing his credits, I immediately remembered his role of Victor in The Returned, but Hallmark audiences have certainly seen him in two other films (both Christmas films as a matter of fact). Although the premiere of Campfire Kiss was last weekend (March 19th), I know that Hallmark is replaying the movie multiple times, and I even heard it may be making its way up to Canada next weekend. In order to get to know the young man who plays Arthur in this recent heart-warming film, I had the opportunity to chat with this young thespian who has more roles under his belt than some of his adult counterparts!

This short red iron device pictured above is a fire hydrant. The fire hydrant is an example of public health in action because people do not know how important it is within the community. A fire hydrant is a fire protection measure. The image impacts health because fire hydrants are placed within the communities to prevent unintentional injuries. They are there to assist fire fighters if a fire is too big to control.
A firefighter needs to have a variety of skills such as evacuate fire structures and treat victims, suppress and extinguish fires with hoses pumps and additional apparatus’. Not everything a firefighter accomplishes involves fighting fires, and saving people, they also act as role models for the younger generation, and the community. A firefighter may have to participate and give a lesson in
