First Amendment- freedom of speech
The first amendment which states that all citizens have freedom of speech was adopted on December 15, 1791. This amendment was created because when America was beginning to establish itself the citizens demanded a guaranteed protection of their basic rights. This amendment is necessary because it grants citizens the right to express their opinions publicly without any governmental interference. Also without this amendment we couldn’t have any newspapers or magazines that express other 's opinions and we would not be able to speak poorly of the government or anything like that without getting into some type of trouble.
