What is your name, age and occupation? “I am Kalli Gambill-Donely. I just turned 15 and am a highschool sophomore.”
What did you do this summer? “I went to a flyball tournament the weekend before the 4th of July in Sandusky, Ohio. The competition was called License To Chill.”
How long have you been doing that? “Probably 2 years-ish.”
How did you find out about it? “Adventure Unleashed, a dog training business where our dogs take classes, was involved in it and my mom had read something about it online a while back.”
What do your friends and family think of it? “My friends don’t understand the concept. My family is happy that I found something I am passionate about.”
How does it impact your life? Why is this important for you to do? “I have found another “family” and support system for me. Also, my dogs enjoy the exercise which helps their behavior. It is important because I hate sports and I finally found a sport that I am willing to do and enjoy. I get to spend time with my dogs, family and friends.”
Would you do it again next summer? “Duh, yes!”

“People wrap their dogs with vet wraps so their stopper pads don’t rub and become injured. It is a safety thing for the dog. First though it was weird and I was curious about it. Now that I know what it is, it makes sense.”
Who runs the events? “Individual teams host the events. Usually they rent out the nearest fairground so they have space for all the campers and hook ups needed. You can also tent camp which my team normally does. If it is storming we go to a dog friendly hotel because of Lucy’s storm anxiety. To pay for the fairgrounds the teams holding it require a fee for camping.”
Who judges the events? “The team hosting hire judges- work for UFLI,United Flyball League International, or NAFA, North American Flyball Association. There is usually three judges. One for team, pairs and singles. They can rotate what they judge
