After hours of attempted treatments, the boy sadly dies. To prevent this common scenario from happening, tackling in youth football should be banned until kids reach early teenage years because it can cause detrimental head injuries, and many other future and emotional effects. Being less developed creates a higher risk for injury. The younger kids are, the less developed they are (Smith). Their heads and necks are weaker so when they are hit, it causes them to have more severe injuries (Smith).
When the Star Spangled Banner plays during any event, people decide to stand up and show their dignity. Recently in the NFL many players have decided to take a knee during the playing of the anthem. When the national anthem plays, wherever you are, people should stand up and show their respect. Kneeling during the playing of the national anthem is a disrespect to our country. President Donald Trump stated, “It’s important that NFL players stand for our national anthem next game.
Youth Tackle Football Why the interest in youth football lately? Youth football has been getting a bad rep lately because of concerned parents. Parents of football players are concerned for their child’s safety while playing tackle football. Plenty of cities and towns are banning youth football, because of concussions.
Youth football should be put to an end. If a young adult knows the potential consequences of the game and still chooses to play, then they at least made the decision on their own terms as opposed to an eight or nine year old child whose father signed them up for youth
Recently Trump has criticized the NFL for not forcing the players to stand during the anthem. He says that it's a “Total disrespect for our great country!” and that it's disrespecting the military and everyone who fought for our freedom. The NFL is going to let the players sit or kneel during the national anthem for now. There is a lot of discussion of the freedom of expression and if this is legal or not.
“His hope is that the research can be used to retool drills and rules to protect all the kids…” I disagree with this view; young children should not play football until they are 14 because, as recent research has shown, according to NBC news ¨There is some hope in the continuously improved protective technology with helmets and pads.¨ Although, football may be dangerous in many ways there's still some hope that this technology and equipment will become more advanced and safe, so that their will be less injuries in the game of
Because of this, banning contact sports won’t mean no physical activity; other sports are still available to them and children most likely will go pick a different sport to play. Therefore contact sports should be banned for children under 18. In conclusion, contact sports are a dangerous sport because of the high chance of injury and the risk of brain damage so children under 18 should not be able to play it. Although obesity could become a problem, it most likely won’t because more children are getting active and playing other sports.
Have you ever played tackle football? If so you should know that playing at a young age can cause damage to brain as you get older and older. Kids that started before the age of twelve have been proven to have a damaged brain as they get older. Kids of such young age should be able to play football but maybe flag football is better to start with. For parents to keep their children safe they should not let their kids play tackle football until they are twelve.
Right now we only have four sports. We have volleyball, football, tennis, and basketball. I just don’t understand why we don’t have the most popular sport, soccer. Over half of the school plays it so why not let everyone play here? I think you should allow us to play soccer because it will benefit the students as well as the school and the community.
Health and contact sports are something parents worry about as over 500 deaths in the past 3 years from contact sports alone are making parents stand out against these sports and if the government doesn 't do anything about it the number of 7% overall contact sports drop will just keep getting lower and lower each time. Dr. William Speight also had this to say “Many other kids have suffered paralyzing spinal injuries”(Pennington). Kids being paralyzed is the fear for many athletes these days and the number f kids getting paralyzed has increases 2% which is equivalent to about 8,000 kids each year which is crazy to think about kids can 't play sports for the rest of thrie and maybe not be able to live their life because of it so next you hear mom or dad i wanna play sports your answer should be a simple NO. Kids under 10 need to stop playing contact sports because 45% of kids under 10 getting hurt are from contact sports and 5% of the time its ending that kids chances to play sports in the feature, Not to mention contact sports can also make kids go to their fullest and being burned out and although contact provide some kids will useful tools in life most of the time there is more negative than positive. Youth football is a sport that is played in various places, many people think that it is not dangerous and kids should be able to play, while others think that this sport is too dangerous and should not be played. Based off of all the evidence that I have found through research, it has let me to agreeing with the fact that youth football is too dangerous for young children to be playing. This sport has pros to it, some of which are very good, but the con side outways it with extraordinary pieces of evidence, these are the things showing that this sport is not to be played at this age and overall. There are a few pieces of evidence and facts that show proof of why it is dangerous and why this can’t be stopped. Some of the reasons are very serious, such as CTE which is a brain disease caused by rapid hits to the brain, this has lifetime affects and changes you in many ways, in worst cases this can even cause death.
This past week, Josh Norman, an immensely popular and talented football player, became a free agent and decided to sign with a new team. That new team just happened to be the Washington Redskins, who rewarded him with a guarantee of over 50 million dollars. What I don’t understand, however, is how a professional sports team is called the ‘Redskins’. Growing up, I have always been a huge fan of sports, both as a spectator and a participant. Starting in the 7th grade, we were required to wear a shirt and tie to school the day of a game.

With more and more young people playing football, the risk of players becoming disabled is becoming greater and greater. Depression, behavior that is erratic, headaches, and Alzheimer's disease (which does lead to death) are just some of the long-term effects of football. As a result, children should not play football due to its deadly effects. Another reason is you are probably thinking, "My child is safe; they always have a helmet on when playing football." Guess again, because no particular type of helmet
Therefore, one may argue that parents shouldn’t let their kids play football for fear of injuries and concussions occurring on the field. Quite oppositely, kids should definitely be allowed to engage in playing football which will make sure kids stay in shape and do better in school. To begin with, playing football allows kids to stay fit as fiddle. Football is a highly demanding sport that involves lots of running, jumping and tackling which can help kids stay in shape. Shockingly, “In 2012, more than one third of children and adolescents were overweight or obese.”
