The Democratic-Republicans favored France in foreign affairs. Thomas Jefferson was loved in France, sine he was the foreign diplomat to France from America. In addition, the Democratic-Republicans viewed the French Revolution as a model of revolution similar to the American revolution: both sides revolted against tyranny. Nevertheless, Hamilton viewed the Democratic-Republican love of France as corruption, for he stated that the Democratic-Republicans contained a womanish attachment to France (Document B). In addition to the disagreement in foreign affair, the most significant disagreement between the Federalists and Democratic-Republicans was in politics.

This isolationist policy gained a greater influence especially from the conservatives during the beginning of the cold war (Brands, 2011). This was because of several policies and feelings of the conservatives that defined the importance of this isolationist policy. The reasons or feelings that made majority of the conservatives in the United States of America to support the policy include; influence by leaders, the hint of anti-elitism and the ideological differences between the conservatives and the liberals. The conservatives were influenced and convinced by some prominent and influential leaders like Joseph Maccarthy who was a republican politician and the senator of Wisconsin state in the United States of America.
I am a republican because, I believe the power should be closer to the people of the United States of America, I believe in limited taxation, and I believe in a strong national defense. First, I am a republican because I believe in the federalist system of government. Basically, I believe in the fact that the power should be equally divided between the government and the people, and the people should have a say in the country’s actions. Also, I believe that the people should not have to pay too much taxes, for they work hard for their money and they should be able to enjoy their money made. I know that the country needs taxes, but just hold the taxes to minimum, and find the equilibrium where everyone agrees.
