In the afternoon of October 20, 2015 a Bahama Cruz ship docked on an unknown island to get off the boat for a while. A woman that had a dog on the Cruz let the dog off the leash to run around. When it was almost time to leave, the dog came back to the owner with what looked like a branch in its mouth. The owner knew it wasn’t a branch, but a bone. Going back to where the dog found the bone, she discovered more bones. When forensics arrived on scene, the bones were observed and determined as the skull, pelvis, femur and humorous. The composition of the bones were mainly bone, with little tissue still existing. The bones were then sent to the nearest forensics anthropology lab in Florida. At the lab forensic scientists then determined sex, age, race, height, and trying to find a match to missing persons.

To determine the maximum length of the femur the negroid formula was used. The height range was 146.41-153.23cm. For the humorous the mongoloid and negroid formulas were used to find the maximum length of the humerus. The height range for the mongoloid formula was 138.74-142.44cm. Then for the negroid formula 148.2-156.7cm was the height range. To find the final height determination the minimum height value was taken from the mongoloid height range, which was 138.74cm. Then divided by 2.54 to get the inches, which was 54.6in. For maximum height range the maximum height value was taken from the negroid height range, which was 156.7cm. Then divided by 2.54 to get inches, which was 61.7in. The final height determination of the female was between 4’5” and
