The one of the famous historian author of the American history is Joseph J. Ellis. He was awarded with many awards. His book "Founding Brothers" with approximately 300 pages won in History the Pulitzer Prize in 2001 year. Ellis is excellent author with various history books that written by him about the Revolutionary generation. He has five good book to read, they are "His Excellency: George Washington", "American Creation: Triumphs and Tragedies at the Founding of the Republic", "Passionate Sage: The Character and Legacy of John Adams", "First Family: Abigail and John Adams" and the last one is "American Sphinx: The Character of Thomas Jefferson" the book with National Book Award that won in 1997. Quite a bit of "Establishing Brothers" depends on the Ellis' ideas into the characters of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Ellis wrote books about these heroes, before he published the "Founding Brothers" book, in his beautiful works such as: “American Sphinx: The Character of Thomas Jefferson”(1996) and “ Passionate Sage: The Character of John Adams”(1993).These two books won the National Book Award For Nonfiction.
