When the war ended they were wore down and weak. This made the actions of the colonists more effective. Because of the debt, Britain’s economy was not strong. To help pay for the debt, Britain passed the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act put a tax on every printed item they used and required them to buy a government-issued stamp for legal documents and other paper goods.
In the early 1770s, a political upheaval took over America; the political temperatures rose as people were seeking self-rule. The patriots were tired of the oppressive rule and decided it was a time when they had to take power in their hands and fight the monarchy and aristocracy. The patriotic citizens wanted to establish an independent nation and in their pursuit to refuse the British rule they caused a political upheaval that was later named the American Revolution. The American Revolution was a landmark in the history of the United States and the world at large since most political upsets in the world that came from the early 1800s found their inspiration from the American Revolution.
Since there was debt because of the war, the economy was already very bad in Britain – therefore they taxed the colonies. When the colonies started boycotting British products and threatened to stop trading with them all together, it was successful because Britain’s economy wasn’t strong enough to handle those things. The merchants in Britain couldn’t afford to have trade with America end. If the British merchants were hurt, this would thus hurt The economy as a whole in Britain. In later decades, in the War of 1812, America would try to stop trade with Britain again using a method called embargo, which would not be effective because they did not have the debt that the War had caused.

It all started with the French and Indian War in 1754. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
The American Revolution was primarily caused by the Proclamation of 1763, the Tax Acts, and the Coercive Acts that were forced upon the Americans by the English. The Proclamation of 1763, while not as inflammatory as the Tax Acts or Coercive Acts, marked the beginning of England’s attempt to control America. The Tax Acts appeared to be extremely unjust to the Americans, who insisted that a government that they did not elect had no right to decide what taxes they would pay. The Coercive Acts were passed to punish the rebels of Massachusetts, but it only further revealed the injustice of England to the rest of America. This further united the country in one common cause: to free America from the English tyranny.

After French assistance helped the Continental Army force the British surrender at Yorktown, Virginia, in 1781, the Americans had effectively won their independence, though fighting would not formally end until 1783.
The causes of American Revolution can be summarized into several factors. The first cause was British imposed its mercantilist monopoly authority to suppress colonies’ economic opportunity after the French-Indian War. Mercantilist discourages trade as the source of the wealth to manage the empire and its colonies. For most the parts are the Merchant class played an important role in the Parliament to make sure the colonies served the interest of British government and the merchant class. American Colonies played the role of providing raw materials and the transportation of processed goods in the triangle trade route, in return for the empire’s military protection.
