As he cares for this family, he is the happiest he’s ever been because he believes that they will praise him for helping them and as a reward welcome him into their family. Secondly, when the creature goes to the family’s house he meets the girl’s blind father and as he is talking to the blind man he says, “They are kind-they are the most excellent creatures in the world; but a fatal prejudice clouds their eyes, and where they ought to see a feeling and kind friend, they behold only a detestable monster.” (106) And the man responds to the creature by saying, “That is indeed unfortunate; but if you are really blameless, cannot you undeceive them?” (106) This means that the couple in who he truly is, a nice person and someone they should call their friend because of how he looks.
