Dancing with Death
It’s a classic dark and stormy night, rain flows from the heavens, and lightning shoots through the sky. The creature writhes within its shackles, snapping them and rising on its feet. For no other creature is as magnificent as the one before you, the dodo. The technology to bring back the dead was explored in works such as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is now a possibility, and as such, what responsibilities do we have as the creators?
In Frankenstein, Victor bestows life upon an abomination of body parts, giving it strength and intelligence. But, due to negligence and disgust for his creation, it escapes into a hostile environment, causing damage to Victor and others in society. Victor should have started small, like a rabbit or a frog. Or he could have embraced what his creation was and provided support, giving it a chance in humanity. There was a small chance for him to grasp, which he failed to see in his pursuit of playing God.
