Romeo and Juliet is a novel written by Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet are two star crossed lovers. Romeo gets banished because of his killing behavior. Juliet is very depressed because of his behavior and killing, Lord Capulet decides that it would be a good idea for Juliet to marry Paris. Juliet doesn’t want to marry him because she is already married to Romeo, so she and the Friar devise a plan to let Romeo and Juliet live happily ever after.
What Romeo did was that he wore a mask so no one recognize him and a Montague. When he got there he saw Juliet and fell in love with her the moment he laid his eyes on her but juliet 's cousin Tybalt recognized romeo and wanted to kill him on the spot but Lord Capulet insisted that Tybalt did not disrupt the part because the prince would get mad. After that Romeo goes over to Juliet and tells her his feelings towards her and they kiss.
While Friar is telling the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet to the families he begins by saying “Romeo, there dead, was husband to that Juliet, / And she, there dead, that Romeo’s faithful wife” (V.3.240-241). Both Romeo and Juliet killed themselves when they learned the other was dead. Romeo and Juliet were so caught up in emotions they each thought the best option was to go with the other. Both Romeo and Juliet were way too loyal to each other which lead to both of their deaths.
Romeo showed an act of free will by choosing to fight Tybalt. Romeo walked into a fight ending up killing Tybalt. He was mad at Juliet making him soft and gentle. Romeo says, “O sweet Juliet you've made me effeminate and in my temper softened valour's steel. ”(III, iii. 428).
It controlled every event in their lives, from the beginning of their families’ ancient feud, to when they met and when they died. The story of Romeo and Juliet had long before been written by fate ever since the start of the dispute between the Capulets and Montagues. Had it not been for this feud, the couple would not have been forced to make such drastic choices to end their lives just so they could be together. This meant anything, even killing themselves. For them to spot each other from across the room in a place where Romeo would normally have been forbidden, is concrete proof that fate was in full command.
This is why it is so shocking when the two become lovers. The power of pre-determined destiny gets the best of them. Shakespeare did not wait to tell the readers that Romeo and Juliet were a part of pre-determined destiny. For example, in the prologue it says "From fourth the fatal loins of these two foes, A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life (Shakespeare prologue). " This means two unlucky children are born into enemy families, they become lovers and commit suicide.
