Throughout history, there have been many revolts and events started by the people due to their ruler because of unhappiness and unmet demands, this is defined as a revolution. A revolution is also known as a sudden, radical or complete change.
Back in 1700’s France, there was a revolution known as the French Revolution which was a period of social and political uprisings in France which happened to of lasted from 1789 until 1799, it started when the enlightenment thinkers spread ideas of a better way than absolute monarchism. The people, displeased with their current king, Louis XVI, started an upheaval and the revolution was partially carried forward by Napoleon which was during the later expansion of the French Empire. The revolution lasted for approximately 10 years and ended in 1799 and all this occurred within France.

At the time of the storming, the Bastille was only guarded by a few soldiers. There were 80 "invalides", veteran soldiers wounded in the field and around 30 grenadiers from the Swiss mercenary regiments. Marquis Bernard-Rene de Launay was at the time governor of the "Invalides". The crowd wasn’t big enough to impress the guards. The Marquis de Launay, fearing anger among the revolutionaries, accepted nevertheless to meet some of their representatives inside the prison. He hoped to buy time, as he was expecting a rescue team to arrive shortly and to help him secure the castle.
But the negotiations ended when a group of revolutionaries entered the Bastille. The guards were ordered to fire, killing hundreds of people.
The path of the revolt completely changed when the rescue team showed up and decided not to fight against but with the mob. With their canons and their soldiers’ skills, they brought victory to the people of France against Louis XVI's guards in a few hours. This day will always be remembered and we, the French will from now on be proud to be
