I, Brother Andrew Wimp, am stating my intent to run for the President of the Kansas Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. I believe myself to be qualified to preform and execute the obligations and duties as our chapter president, through being an active leader, the ability to run a productive executive board, and continuous, effective communication with the chapter, alumni, and the university. With the obstacles facing our chapter now, I feel the primary issues are our continued growth through recruitment and retention, our culture and identity, and the personal growth of those within our chapter. If elected as our next president, I will work with each position on the exec board to help them set goals they would like to complete for the semester and develop a list of short term goals that can be worked on month by month. By doing this, we will have a sense of guidance for each
The Vice President of the Mills Park Middle School National Junior Honor Society is obligated to uphold a substantial leadership status and accentuate the five pillars of NJHS, amidst both their peers and respective communities. Furthermore, the Vice President ought to assist and collaborate effectively with the selected NJHS President. A President and a Vice President that can unite and take on a challenge together, establish an unbreakable bond that reflects remarkably on the society being led. This strong relationship applies not only to the President, but to the other officers and members of the National Junior Honor Society as well. It is the role of an NJHS officer to represent the voices of the students and form a collective opinion.
Abraham Lincoln Essay President of the United States, Abraham LIncoln, in his speech, Second Inaugural Address (Saturday, March 4, 1865), informs the people of the United States of America that they are all of the same creator and live in the same country. So why fight. He supports his claim by first telling about the civil war, then how people all have the same equal rights, then about slavery, and finally that the people in the United States will, “bind up the nation’s wounds”. Lincoln’s purpose is to tell the people what he is going to take care of in his position of presidency, in order to tell people that in the end, they will not make the decisions. God will make the decisions no matter what you want to happen.
The Second Inaugural Address was a speech by Abraham Lincoln about what he will do for the country for his second term on March 4, 1865. At the beginning of the speech he briefly talks about how he will run and that he has high hopes for the future. He spoke to the whole country about what he will do next, but what he said was brief. He has already been president for a 1st term, so he does not say much because he has already said what he wants to do for the county during his first term. Now it is his second term and gives a speech telling the country that he wants to work as a union, to respect and help the army veterans because they go through a lot.
Nobody at Devon has ever been surer of graduating than you are... You want to be head of the class, valedictorian, so you can make a speech on Graduation Day... You never waste your time. That’s why I have to do it for you.. What if I was.
The atmosphere of Schoenfeld Campus Gym had been electrifying Thursday afternoon. The Fall Homecoming Pep Rally included numerous activities for Concordia’s sports team to partake in. For example, one “challenge” involved a member of the sports team getting wrapped up in toilet paper, under the pressure of a time clock. When time ran out, whichever individual was wrapped in the most toilet paper (or looked the most like they had just emerged from an Egyptian pyramid) won that game. The CCNY Pep Rally acted as an opportunity for the rest of the student body to become familiar with our famed athletic program, and to mingle with this elite status of the student.
I was very honored to know that I qualified as a possible candidate for the National Honor Society. To be honest, I never thought of being in the National Honor Society. Therefore, when I got pulled out of class I immediately thought I had done something wrong. I went home that day and told my mom about it. My mom looked me in the eyes and told me that she was very proud of me and gave me a big hug.
Hello, my name is Katelynn Lauria, I am a proud 8th grade Skipjack, and the president of the National Junior Honors Society. I would like to congratulate all who have been picked and chosen to join the NJHS, and join us on our adventure. As part of the National Junior Honors Society you are becoming a leader of the school and setting a good example for others, so you need to represent the scholarship and citizenship role of being in NJHS. An example of this is making sure you are following Booker T. Washington’s 5 Rs and setting up a good example of how to act. Following the 5 Rs includes following them not only at school, but at all times in your life like at home.
If I am one so chosen, I pledge to live up to that honor and continue to strive to be a strong representative of our school and
As the vice president i'll be willing and ready to listen to the insight, and amazing ideas of others- hopefully making these school years the best you can have. I don't want anyone to feel as though they don't have a say to what happens in NECA. You all want something for the better of NECA and the president is an advocate for that, and my job is to back them up therefore giving them all the courage and willpower they need. There has been a lot of shifts throughout this school year, with a lot of change, frustrating everyone, all of you, to no extent. With this student council, with our honorable president with you the people voicing what you want, what you need, with me, we can create a clear path giving you everything we can in our
As enormous as Duncanville is, there are many places in this high school that will leave behind precious and unforgettable memories. For someone that has spent their whole four years here, I’m pleased to say that I have enjoyed myself and strived to my fullest. I strived to my fullest but, I am not what you would call smart or popular. I’m just a student that attempts to make decent grades and get by. I wasn’t active in after school activities or events as much as I wanted to be.
I felt as though running for the Freshman Class Vice President would be something I would be great at,” Freshman Candidate Taniqua Hanson explains. Signs, posters, and flyers hung around at each table of the candidates to show their platforms and all they had to offer unto their class. There were about 11 candidates present at this event more females running for positions than males which made the elections even more interesting. The young ladies of NCCU are really getting involved in wanting to make a difference.
NHS Leadership Essay Being involved in several clubs and activities has enlightened me with valuable life lessons that will sustain with me through my schooling and my life. The club that has presumably impacted my life the utmost is our school 's soccer club. We have a considerable amount of assistant coaches who help us better ourselves not only in our athletic talent, but in our character as well. Speech for NJHS Induction Ceremony Good evening students, faculty, and family members! Thank you, Mrs. Reece and Principal King, for inviting me to this year’s National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony. Students, tonight we honor your achievements in the areas of Scholarship, Citizenship, Responsibility, Community Service, Character, and Leadership as we recognize and celebrate the choices, and at times the sacrifices, you have made. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The reward of a thing well done is to have done it."
From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. Being a vice captain, I played an important role in addressing and motivating students, advising and helping them, and earning points for my group by participating in many competitions alone or in a team. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration.
