In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall into a forbidden relationship due to their families’ disapproval. This predicament of love provokes the two star-crossed lovers to commit suicide. In reality, the real person responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence. Romeo and Juliet were deathly in love and wanted to get married, but couldn't, given the fact that their families’ were archenemies. The Friar decided to scheme a plan to wed Romeo and Juliet behind their parents’ backs (Act 2). This plan eventually led to the untimely demise of the two doomed lovers. Friar Lawrence’s plan to help reunite Romeo and Juliet once again was flawed and resulted in Romeo and Juliet committing suicide.
