Friar Lawrence is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet for a variety of reasons. Firstly, he agreed to marry them without their parents’ permission or knowledge. This was an important factor in the tragedy that followed since it led to Juliet being disowned by her father and banished from Verona.
