In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, a long-standing feud between two families causes the main characters Romeo and Juliet to love in secret. Romeo is a 16-year-old boy, in love with Juliet. Juliet is a 13-year-old girl, in love with Romeo. In the play, Romeo and Juliet are led to their death by lousy decision-making, bad luck, and the characters in the story. Romeo and Juliet getting married, Tybalt’s death, Romeo’s banishment, and the poisoning eventually killed Romeo and Juliet. While there are many characters in the story, Friar Lawrence stands out the most. Friar Lawrence is to blame because he decides to marry them both, left Juliet after she wakes up, and planned her fake death.
