In the creation myth, Chaos came before everything else. He was a composed of a mass void of Darkness and confusion; in the middle of chaos, earth came in the form of Gaia. From Gaia sprang the heavens, in the shape of the sky God Uranus, From Gaia came all the features of the natural world.
Gaia may have been worshiped as the patron goddess of greece before the Hellenes brought the cult of zeus. her worship was mostly universal amongst the Greeks.
