When Gary Clayton, a detective, came back from his recent case about a ghost in a school, he decided to watch the news. With his rough hands, he picked up the remote and turned the television on. His brown eyes accompanied with dark eyebags stared at the television while listening to the broadcast at the same time. The news reporter, Fernando Fortune, spoke about an abandoned asylum. “The victims that have escaped the incident spoke about some sort of banshee. Some of the victims that survived and were still living, but were traumatized.” When the broadcast had ended, Clayton received a phone call from the Police Department. “Gary, have you heard about the haunted asylum and how it has been abandoned? He brought the microphone and the video recorder to record the incident if something happens. The UV light was just for checking if there was any invisible ink somewhere. If the banshee was smart, she may have hidden something somewhere. He entered the car of William Western and they drove to the asylum. “Don’t come with me, I have my reasons.” Gary told William. Gary entered the asylum and was greeted with silence. The asylum was not torn apart or damaged at all, it was just abandoned. The power was turned on, there were no holes or broken walls, it seemed like a livable space. He came in through the entrance room, and started inspecting the building. He passed by the bedrooms, the medical room, and the cafeteria. Suddenly, Gary heard faint crying, coming from direction of where the cafeteria was. It was almost as if a girl was crying at her parent’s funeral. Gary decided to turn on his microphone and the video recorder, then he went towards the crying. While he was going there, he found letters in a space that he never looked in, the main office. The papers looked like a journal torn apart, with a cover and a back side. It was crumpled. The papers looked like they were written by someone who had just experienced a death of a family member. He was smart, so he checked with the UV light to see if anything else was written on the paper. He saw things he couldn’t understand, strange figures and drawings. “I will keep these for now.” Gary said in his mind. Startled, he started hearing shrieking. The detective was smart enough to do his research, so he knew that the shrieking came from the banshee. He started running to the banshee in fear, but also in determination. There was a shadow, of a woman. Gary started sprinting as fast as he could to it. The banshee saw him and attacked him. She was shrieking so loud that the windows were shattering into tiny pieces.
