Gay Community The gay community is a community that has gotten stronger and stronger as years go by. Not only does it get stronger but it grows as well. It is a community that has united many people and sadly has also split many others. In some sense this is a very complicated community because all though it is accepted by 60% of Americans in the United States there is a 40% of Americans who do not accept homosexuality and believe it is a sin (Christopher). This is a community who has had lost many lives as well. It is a community who has been bullied and due to the result of being bullied many have decided to commit suicide, another reason for committing suicide has been because they have not been accepted by family and friends. For example, they both felt a different attraction towards girls since a young age. The only difference they had in that sense was that Jacob denied the attraction he had for guys for some time and Alex accepted it right away. He felt a different attraction for guys, a more special attraction, and he did not doubt it he accepted it unlike Jacob who was denied if for some time. Another difference between the two would be that once Jacob fully accepted himself he decided to tell his family and all though it did not happen right away he was accepted. Alex on the other hand has not told his family and that is because sadly he knows he will not be 100% accepted. Something they do have in common is that both boys told their friends about their sexual preferences around the same time and they were accepted by their friends as well. One very important thing that they have in common would be that Jacob and Alex were never bullied because of their sexuality. They were accepted by their friends and classmates right away sadly there are many teens who do not get accepted and end up getting
