In here, a symbolic interaction takes place between the person, through his or her image or social status as seen by others. This dramaturgical presentation of the self as Goffman (1959) posited, also sometimes extends to reflection of socioeconomic status. Dramaturgy in this sense is the idea that the self is seen as the product of the dramatic interaction between actor and audience and not just as a mere possession of the actor (Ritzer, 2008). Clubbing followed different trajectories based on various factors as seen on this chapter. Although it has been emphasized throughout this research that clubbing is done with the main intention of enjoyment and relaxation, there comes a point that clubbers want to take a break in partying. Based from the data, the centrality of clubbing follows a process (Figure 2) that starts with the first phase of curiosity, which then elevates to a peak of interest in parties.
