Significance of the Gender Wage Gap
The significance of the gender wage gap is the unfair treatment of women. Females are paid less than males in workforces, causing an impact on the social science in the United States and South Korea. The gender wage gap is affecting society globally because the controversy is impacting those in the United States and South Korea.

Purpose of Investigation Women aren't getting the pay they deserve, while working similar if not the same, jobs as men. How do different countries around the world handle the gender pay gap?

The journals were difficult to understand because of the academic jargon, restricted amount of writing, and finding a specified credible source. Although, all the excerpts were reliable, not biased, and no research interviews had to be conducted. Online sources provided clear understandings, easy access, and endless information. Women are discriminated for roles they’ve been taught overtime which has uprose disadvantages for females in society. Enlightening sociologists on the existence of the gap, “...it is not the individual differences between men and women that result in the pay gap...—for women, positions that pay less, and tend not to be managerial.” Different researchers believe the gap developed due to child care and the housewife stereotype.
