Shaw came from an highly privileged abolitionist family in which he attended Harvard University before withdrawing from the school and became a Captain in the Union Army.

There were several reasons as to what caused this war to begin. Let 's go back to the year of 1806 when France declared it to be illegal for “all neutral trade with Great Britain”
The Pacific War could have ended if both sides were willing to cooperate with each other. I feel that if they made some sort of act they could have come to terms on what they both agree on and agree on some sort of neutrality. Putting an embargo on Japanese oil could have avoided as well. America with the hypothetical "act" they could have put a tax on oil. Even if this act only last a few years it could have changed the entire out come of the actual war and may of actually prevented the war itself.
World War II was a global war that covering every continent and most countries in the world. Starting in 1939 and continues until the end in 1945, although there were a conflicts began earlier. The real cause of this war is still debating. Whether it is the unfair ofTreaty of Versailles, world economic problem, the failure of League of Nations, the usurpation of power by some group of people, etc.
We all know that United States won World War ll, but how did we win? World War ll was a gruesome war between the Nazi Party and the United States and many other countries. The war lasted from 1939 through 1945. United States was brought into the war when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. The way that the United states won the war was because our military is strong, we had good allies, and great leaders in office and on the battlefield.
This is the case with General George Armstrong Custer. George A. Custer was born on December 5, 1839 and was raised in a large family. Like most children, Custer exuberated a lot of energy that often led to mischievous behavior. This conduct led to poor grades during his youth. At

Hitler was the main aggressor during 1939 who everyone appeased to, who is infamously known for his rise to power, his persecution of Jews, and his attacks on the world to dominate, that killed so many. Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister, believed in the policy of appeasement and appeased Hitler at the Munich Conference which eventually lead to the start of World War II. The Western Powers responded to aggression with appeasement, and in 1939 the world was plunged into World War II, proving to the world that collective security is a better response to aggression. George Washington demonstrated Remarkable leadership in a long and difficult war. Being the commander of the continental army he faced many challenges that some people would not be able to overcome. One reason the American army started to act more like an army rather than a bunch of farmers and workers was because of George Washington. He had a huge impact on the war and the starting of the revolution, Its safe to say he had a big impression on the way everything turned out. On January 26, 1880 at the Little Rock Barracks in Arkansas, Douglas Macarthur would be born into the military life. His father, Arthur was a decorated Civil War hero and Army Captain. His mother, Mary was a native of Virginia where her brothers also fought in the Civil War. He had two older brothers, Arthur III who was born on August 1, 1876 and Malcolm who was born on October 17, 1878.

Patton (1885-1945) began his military career leading cavalry troops against Mexican forces and became the first officer assigned to the new U.S. Army Tank Corps during World War I. Promoted through the ranks over the next several decades, he reached the high point of his career during World War II, when he led the U.S. 7th Army in its invasion of Sicily and swept across northern France at the head of the 3rd Army in the summer of 1944. Late that same year, Patton’s forces played a key role in defeating the German counterattack in the Battle of the Bulge, after which he led them across the Rhine River and into Germany, capturing 10,000 miles of territory and liberating the country from the Nazi regime. From the very beginning of his life General Patton knew that someday he wanted to be a military leader. As a young boy he took a huge interest in anything related to the military. For example, when his father would have army friends over he would beg them to tell him war stories. General Patton was so involved in the military that by the age of seven he was reading advanced military maps. By the age of ten people started to not General Patton was doing very poor in school and although it was probably because he was paying so much attention to military aspects his parents decided to place him in a private school.
The book The Best War Ever, by Michael C. C. Adams, is about World War II, the events that led up to the war, and the years following the war. Adams starts the book off explaining some myths that people have about the war. The biggest myth associated with the war is that it was the best war ever. Adams then spends the rest of the book talking about why this may or may not be true. In the following chapters, Adams explains the events that led to the war and the events that accorded during World War II.
On June 6, 1944, the Battle of Normandy began. This day, also known as D-Day, would go down in history for making a tremendous impact on the war. The German and American forces fought hard, inflicting injuries beyond compare (G1). Many people were highly dedicated to fighting for their country, resulting in many lost lives (C1). Many Americans were so determined that they actually swam into German fire to fight on the coast of France (F1).
