The conversation involving Dave Brandon was very insightful, and I personally learned a lot about being a part of teams from the presentation. Being a sports fan, I love hearing the message that Mr. Brandon shares about teams and how they are vital to organizational success. The most important lessons I learned from the presentation are:
1. The virtue of generational leadership, which is based in understanding where a person is coming from, will have an effect on their perspective surrounding the goals of the organization. Therefore, taking the time to understand each member of the team will allow the leader to realize how they will view the team goals, and provide them with the best motivation to succeed.
2. Realizing the culture of the team: The basis of this theory involves realizing the pre-existing culture of the team, and how the team members want to change the culture. Without gaining a proper perspective of the existing team culture, a leader could damage the aspects that are working for the team, while making changes that will not enable the goals of the team to be achieved.

Adapt your leadership style, and how you get the best out of them is a team concept based in being able to provide each team member with the type of leadership that will make them the most effective and achieve their personal and team goals at the same time. This is something all leaders should employ because everyone is different, and there are different things that motivate them as individuals.
