There is the chance that cloning may be able to better how humans live. “ Will it produce more good than harm or vice versa? This is true of cloning as well. Cloning is by no means the first technology that has been widely debated. It is, however, among the first to be so controversial before it is even possible to achieve.
As a society we are adapting, changing, and growing every day. Genetic modification is happening; many people are just not aware. Genetic engineering is great for society because it can cause many new advancements for the as in world with no diseases and a world without hunger. “There is a good case for exploring all ideas relevant to our current concerns, no matter where they lead” (Pinker 533). Although no one knows how far genetic enhancing and cloning could go makes it a dangerous idea, does not mean as a society that we ignore it.

This creates an anxious atmosphere that leave societies questioning if the knowledge, consequences, and ethics are even a reasonable approach towards the idea of cloning. Both “The Birthmark” by Nathaniel Hawthorne and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, have themes that convey a meaning not to mess with nature’s creations. These two literary examples are evidence that cloning obviously has a vast and unpredictable outcome that are not to be ignored. Moreover, cloning is a highly questionable pursuit of science that may lead to possible destruction if not monitored carefully.
Mankind has always been motivated by the desire for progress, accomplishment, and empowerment. The exceptionally steep rate of technological development during the twentieth century starting with the invention of the zeppelin in 1900 and advancing to the creation of more sophisticated technologies such as the world wide web is evidence of this truth. In the movie “Gattaca”, directed by Andrew Niccol, Niccol indicates how in the future we are going to depend on technology. As well as in how we are going to become more of an unrealized expectation. Once everyone understands and respects the different philosophies we should listen to more of Kass’s advice, we must not allow the use of technology to grow with self-increasing limits. Instead, we need to use moral, intellectual, spiritual, and political rule to be certain that we are making the right decisions. Specifically it is essential that we focus on human freedom and dignity. For example, it worries me that a small number of scientists could increase their rule over a huge number of individuals by using genetic technology, resulting in decreased human freedom. A solution to this problem would be everyone using moral, intellectual, and spiritual rules in a political setting to make sure that a large number of voices are heard.
Modern society has been able to come up with ways of cloning people which is similar of the idea that Huxley had while writing Brave New World.

Though the dystopian society depicted in Never Let Me Go can be seen as simply a science-fiction invention, it could become a reality, depending on the course of science and progress. Every day, people die in need of organs that simply are not available to them. In keeping a sense of morality in scientific research, potentially harmful tests are often carried out on animals, rather than real human beings, compromising the relevance of test results in some ways.
