The Potsdam Conference in 1945 stated that they wanted to put back Germany’s economy together, however, the other powers had a conflict of interest during their occupation which led to drastic differences between East and West Germany.
Different policies were set on either sides, and there were conflicts between the U.S. and Russian zones.
