She states that life concepts followed by the competitors such as “the conviction that altruism and compassion are signs of folly and weakness,… the belief that certain circumstances justify secrecy and deception,… are the exact same themes that underlie the rhetoric we have been hearing and continue to hear from Republican Congress and our current administration” (Prose 60). If you are not coke bottle shaped, wearing super long hair and a paint palette of makeup then the chances of being in a desirable relationship or successful are slim to none. They are living a lifestyle that's untrue, the cars are rented, the houses that we see are prompt's, the clothes are borrowed from some of the top designer and more than often the drama is staged. Families end up destroyed for the entertainment purposes of us.
Unfortunately, this generations idles and figures have been misconstrued. Reality TV stars have become role models for many young girls. Young girls have come with the idea that in order to be beautiful they can just throw their body around, get surgery, or do something little to become famous. To many times I have seen little girls dressing much older than they are so that they can look like the girls on the reality shows. These are big problems within our generation and I would love to be able to address these.

" They see people like them succeeding. " This means that watching these shows can help us feel connected to others.
