At the age 15 Richard started working in the county clerk 's office,he worked there until the age 19. Richard then taught school briefly,and then became a merchant.

James led the settlement as a refuge for the poor and debtors. Despite critics’ attacks on Chris McCandless as a commendable person, Chris McCandless is an admirable figure to look up to as he shows that taking risks can be beneficial. During McCandless’s trip, he meets with a wide variety of people he get well along with. He has a great time during his adventure and gains a lot of experiences even though he is living a simple life where he doesn’t live with a vast amount of wealth. The Life of Solomon Northrup Solomon Northrup was born to two free African Americans who had never experienced the life of a slave. In 1841, his life turned upside down when he was kidnapped and sold into slavery in Washington City. Solomon was a fiddle player who went to Washington for a job offer that ended up being just a scam. It seems like he was a trusted and fearless man. For twelve years, he was exposed to the horrors of being treated as a slave.
“Agnostic, tired and genius,” these three words are how my best friend and first cousin, Gabriel Garvey, describes himself. What I quickly realized was what he valued in life with these characteristics: his personal belief system, current state of general being and what he has to contribute to anything he touches. My cousin and I are similar in that manner yet we are very different in the manner in which we operate. The differences in our upbringings can be attributed to that.
