Now that all these countries have had a chance to connect in some way, the world is becoming less unknown and people are being knowledgeable.
As a result, it has helped many areas experience lower rates of poverty and higher living standards. Interaction with people from other cultures and traditions is made possible by globalization, which promotes cultural interchange. In addition to enhancing societies, this cross-cultural exchange of ideas, music, art, and values fosters tolerance and understanding. Technological Advancement: Globalization has expedited the global dissemination of information and technology. Rapid breakthroughs in science, technology, and communication can be attributed to its ability to ease the diffusion of inventions and knowledge.
While globalization brought a lot of negative effects, it ultimately was more positive because it boosted countries' economies and made the world more connected. Globalization began happening throughout the world, which allowed many economies to change for the better. Source A shows data that allows us to see how much of a positive impact globalization can have on a country. When more globalization occurs, it raises the standard of living and life expectancy, because people can live more easily. Source C claims that with globalization and the expansion of world trade, “whole countries have seen their fortunes soar as foreign investment has poured in.”
The Harlem Renaissance brought the rebirth of music and social culture. One of the greatest musicians achieved influential accomplishments during this era; Kennedy Edward Ellington. The “King of Jazz” better known as Duke Ellington dominated the jazz era during the 1920s. During the Harlem Renaissance he exhibited his dedication to music and displayed impactful leadership characteristics. Ellington also established a legacy that swayed the future generations.
“The magic is only in which books [and other informative platforms] say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into on garment for us. (Bradbury, 79)” It allows the world to connect with one another. People on opposite ends of the world can know what is going on in each others lives. People can now help people across the world without having to leave their hometown.
Chapter 8: Working with Internet The advent of technological devices began with inventions like telegram, radio, television and computers. The invention of the internet brought about a revolution. Internet can be defined as, “a network of computers that are interconnected globally.” Internet is a networking infrastructure, which connects many countries worldwide.
Globalization in the past 80 years has connected our world exceptionally well compared to the years before. Just under 80 years ago, when World War II ended, people saw an opportunity to grow together and learn from past mistakes. Globalization has brought the world together which has caused poverty rates to go down, work systems to become stronger leading to more accessibility, and overall life expectancy to increase. Globalization has forever changed the ways of the world and will continue to benefit people by bringing us together to become one substantial world. Globalization has benefited our world involving the decrease in poverty rates.

This process uses to describe the changes in society and in the world economy, by creating a linkage and increasing exchange between individuals, organizations or nations in cultural perspective, economics on global scale (Globalization 101, n.d.). A process of creating many opportunities but also causes many challenges for all the nations in the world, particularly for developing countries. There are so many advantages that globalization brings to developing countries like free trade, technology transfer and reducing unemployment.
Metro Manila is a mix of drama and crime thriller film that was set in Manila itself. It was able to show the underlying truth of the people living in the slums and are ostracized by society. Oscar’s personality was evident that he’s a hardworking man who would do anything for the good of his family. He moved to Manila in hopes of having a better life because he didn’t receive enough money that he deserved from being a farmer. An issue that is still patent in our country is belittling the farmers who actually are the ones providing us food from the market.
The aim of this assessment is to reflect on what I have learned this semester regarding the module of Business in Global Context; from the lectures with the professor, the case studies done in class and the three previous patchworks that we worked on. We have learned that there are different internal and external components that affect the business environment, from corporate social responsibility to cultural and institutional framework; organizations must take into consideration all the factors related to the different parts of its environment. For the topic discussion, I will be discussing globalization and how it has affected the global business environment along with the key aspects and the different point of views regarding it.
