Several new fast-food companies have emerged in recent years, appealing to younger customers with their creative menu offerings. Traditional fast-food companies like McDonald's and Burger King have lost market share to these chains, such as Chick-Fil-A, ShakeShack, and Five Guys. We can see the losses of other companies because when you go near any of these places that are competing the line tends to always be longer at Chick-Fil-A. The only thing is that there are so many more locations of say Mcdonald's or Burger
In the twentieth century, the government of the United States began taking more of an interest in the food industry. Soon after the twentieth century began, the government realized the harsh conditions in the factories and how unsanitary they were so they went from favoring big businesses to passing laws against the cruelties they did and regulating the items sold in the United States. The government’s regulation of the food industry in American history has evolved from them ignoring the problems and letting factories do what they wanted in the nineteenth century, to them having full control over the food industry in the present-day by passing laws and creating organizations such as the Meat Inspection Act, Pure Food and Drug Act, and the Food
From this point on there have been federal regulations and policies regarding the food
Globalization in the past 80 years has connected our world exceptionally well compared to the years before. Just under 80 years ago, when World War II ended, people saw an opportunity to grow together and learn from past mistakes. Globalization has brought the world together which has caused poverty rates to go down, work systems to become stronger leading to more accessibility, and overall life expectancy to increase. Globalization has forever changed the ways of the world and will continue to benefit people by bringing us together to become one substantial world. Globalization has benefited our world involving the decrease in poverty rates.
Although some people believe that being different can lead to non-understanding or bad thoughts, you can say the same thing about different languages or cultures, yet they are honored and practiced by lots of people. Heroes like Rosa Parks and M.L.K. Jr. were first thought by people to have bad ideas and thoughts, but even then, they made whites realize the awful racism they had been expressing. Many inventions and habits were adapted by modern people from different cultures around the world. For example, some of the current medications are developed based on the information from the Sumerians clay tablets in 5000 B.C. Differences among people are good, but not respected enough. The diversity of humanity and cultures allows us as people to learn and progress through new and different ideas, as well as expand our thoughts into creative discoveries.
We are not only able to understand the cultural legacies of our ancestors, but others unique past and the magnificent beauty of diversity as well. However, without mutual understanding and respect, it's impossible to recognize the glamor of foreign culture and achieve the goal of globalization
This document pertains to the people’s ideas because it reflects the changes that were happening and the new way of thinking that child labor is bad and that Americans should be free and get education. Document B shows how the conditions in meatpacking plants were extremely unsanitary. It describes how many of the workers in the plants were often ill with tuberculosis and these articles by the muckrakers were very effective in initiating change in the food industry because it related to the health of normal people and this inspired change enacted upon in new legislation. The time period of the progressive era was very influential and initiated many changes of how systems in America were operated. I gave more power to the people and made it so that big corporations could not control everyone.

What’s more, the process of the fusion of different culture has been accelerated, which may cause cultural conflicts among different countries that can also be a great threat to national security. Inequality as a product of globalization exists in all spheres of economic, political and social life(Andresska,
Cultural globalization is often understood as the spatial diffusion of global products. At a deeper level, cultural globalization may be seen as the contested process of internationalization of values, attitudes and beliefs. The spread of cultural practices and symbols makes the world more the same, but at the same time triggers resistance. Hence, cultural globalization while uniting the world is also seen to strengthen local cultures and is a major force behind the creation of identities. Such homogenization or differentiation can be noticed in the change of cultural practices and consumption patterns over time and space.
Throughout the last few decades, fast food companies have started popping out everywhere. With the
Globalization and Nation States Globalization has integrated and intertwined the economies of the world. In the world today, every nation has become independent on every other nation, be it through trade or through finance. Developing countries today are attracting large rounds of foreign investment, and this foreign investment is coming from the developed countries. Thus, the money of the developed countries is today invested in the developing countries.
Globalization and Cosmopolitanism for a long time have been used interchangeably to create a sense of boundarylessness. The two words, however, are not synonymous. Globalization has a single dimension, economic globalization. Cosmopolitanism, on the other hand, is multidimensional and addresses various aspects of the social world. The multifaceted nature of cosmopolitanism has changed the history of the social worlds (Nussbaum 2008).
