Globalization and Us
Introduction
People may not realize how much their lives are affected by the constantly evolving globalization of the world. As defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary website, “Globalization is the integration of national economies through trade, investment, capital flow, labor migration, and technology.” (Merriam-Webster Website, 2017). Throughout this paper there will be a more elaborate description of globalization and it’s what have affected its evolution, how it affects people, and how it could affect me and my career in the future.
Globalization Description
Globalization has made many people, especially Thomas Freidman, consider that the world may be turning flat. This thought comes from how certain events have changed globalization and in turn changed the way we as individuals, companies, and societies function. Friedman describes Globalization 1.0 as the beginning stage of globalizations development where people reached out globally through their own countries. In the case of a Business Administrator, I would be able to work with many students including international students. This would give me experience with many other types of nationalities in which I could learn more from. A possible effect of globalization could be that colleges begin to be more online based, which is already happening throughout school systems. As an Administrator, I would still be needed to keep up with student documentation such as registration. So, I feel that I would have a better chance at job security even with such changes occurring. If I choose to begin a shop within the Etsy corporation, I would be benefited even more by globalization because I would be enabled to sell my own products to people all over the world. I would not have this opportunity without globalization due to living in such a secluded
