Once a year a sadness comes over football fans. Although not always on the same day, it's the same feeling. Once a year every fan's team has their dreaded bye week. And the result is a sickness so somber that fans are forced to root for other teams. It's the bye week blues. This week, the Packers were selfishly off, getting much-needed rest and relaxation, forcing me to find another team to fill the void. Sitting at Glory Days sports bar in Palm Harbor, I scanned the walls of televisions looking for the right selection. It wasn't a hard pick. There are two things that make for a good game: underdogs and pissing off fans at the table next to you. In this case, it was Patriot fans. My team of choice was the Jets who had the daunting task
