The goal behind the metaphors is to essentially brainstorm to generate some useful ideas. I feel like overseeing any sports team is like being supervisor, as supervisors manage people or an activity. Supervising is good for overseeing, much like controlling a sports team. I also made the case for general managers as well, general managers has overall responsibility for managing. Superintendent and Inspectors are good for having a high level of importance than a supervisor. Team Managers are in charge of organizing team activities. Regarding case studies, I think umpiring a game is like judging a case study, as it is a way to process a situation over a period of time. Case studies, much like umpiring a game, is good for innovation, which allows a lot of detail to be collected. Umpiring a game is like judging a debate. Debates argue about a subject, especially in a formal manner so I think the reason why they relate is that smart thinking that allows you to have facts to back your claim. Credit Reports is a detailed report of an individual's credit history. It is also good for building credibility and security. Fans trust that umpires judgment is credible and accurate. Bad calls during a games is like errors on financial statements. Financial Statements are good for keeping a record of financial activities. It can be involved with future planning, expansions and product launches. Umpires efficiency rating scores will take a dip if they do not provide a consistent accuracy record on calls.
