Good and evil are two terms that have been around since eternity. The stereotypical definition of good and evil are, ‘Good’ means a lack of self centeredness. It means the ability to empathies with others, to feel compassion for them, and if needs to put their needs before your own. It means being able to see beyond the superficial boundaries of race, gender or nationality and connect to a common human essence beneath them. ‘Evil’ people are who lack the skill to empathies with others. They put their selfish desires before the emotions of others. What if good and evil exists in every being but the stronger one reflects through our actions and our behavior. Good and evil is a reflection of inner conflict within ourselves. This is what will be established in this paper.

There are many examples that can prove that good and evil is only a reflection of inner conflict. One such example can be found in the novel, ‘A wrinkle in time’. An example for this is Harry Potter’s popular antagonist Draco Malfoy. It is clear that Draco is hugely shaped by his father, Lucius Malfoy. Unfortunately, he seems to have pretty awful views about the world which eventually rubs off on his son. Draco wanted to be friends with the popular trio. But he also wanted to live up to his father expectations which meant he had to be the typical bully and a loyal follower of the dark lord. As Draco evolves and the events of his late teens others believe he has grown up ‘in the most horrifying way’.
