Theocracy is a form of government that was used during the biblical days. During the theses times, the priest were the ruler of the lands, they were appointed the king, and they were governed under the name of God. The book of Samuel describes how Saul was appointed king. According to the text, God himself selected Israel’s first king, through strange circumstances God brought Saul to Samuel’s house, and this is where Samuel announced that God has designated him as Israel’s first king” (Varughese, A., 2003, p.161-162). There is a major difference between how the government is handled on present time and the biblical days.
