When the Founding Fathers were planning the country, each one had different ideas on what the country should be like. Some favored a strong central government, others saw that strength in the states would make for a better government. Most of the time, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison are seen as the two biggest influences, and opposing views on the role of the federal government. Jefferson opted for a weaker central government, with stronger states and more individual rights, while Madison favored a strong central government, and weaker states. Given that the country was founded on ideas of liberty and democracy, Thomas Jefferson is the more correct of the two.
Explain why strategic direction from national and local policy is required to address factors impacting on outcomes and life chances for children and young people Strategic direction from national and local policy is required to ensure it reaches every child and young person, by initially completing policy on a national level will allow every factor that has a negative impact on a child`s outcome or detrimental to their life chances to be included as it has been completed across the nation (taking into account various reports and completed research projects) and not pockets of areas which may not give the whole picture or areas that need to be addressed- ensuring a more accurate outcome and more detailed information to learn from. IQDC # 4 Neoliberalism Question 1: Why does Krueger assume that advocates for a particular policy intervention concern themselves with the possibility of future interventions? “Certainly, the advocate of a particular policy intervention in a developing country should at least ask what forces leading to further interventions will be created by the inauguration of the policy under consideration”(Krueger 19). The way that she phrases this quote implies that an advocate of a specific policy will not want to the government to intervene with further policies because further policies will have a negative effect on the advocate. However, in implying this she fails to understand that said advocate will welcome further government intervention because of the positive outcomes that can come from them.
The English philosopher John Locke was adamant that people are good, therefore, only needed a government to protect their natural rights. The belief that people are good natured humans led to the fundamentals of the United States Government. As such, our government should be basing their public policy on their principles. Unfortunately, this is not bona fide. Politicians create public policy that truly only benefits specific people, themselves, or groups of the nation and their interest because they fear losing them.
The four principles include spirituality, land, kinship and the belief system. New age Religion: New Age Religion is a broad movement characterised by alternative approaches to traditional Western culture, with an interest in spirituality, mysticism, holism and environmentalism. Pentecostalism: Pentecostalism is an evangelical and charismatic strand of the Christian tradition that began in 1976. Protectionism: The protection policies (1909) aimed to remove Aboriginal children from unsuitable environments and place them in protection of the state in homes, on missions or reserves.
The source is stating that a country is at it’s best when the individual is allowed to express themselves in a way that is free from government control. In doing this it allows for a society that is reflective of the individual rather than the government. When society is based on the individual, government interference will be lessened because the need for it will no longer be prevalent to society. This source is for classical liberalism and reflects the ideologies of philosopher Adam Smith who was strictly for individual benefit and limited government control. Based on historical events it is wrong to have lessened government control because it can lead to civil unrest and lack of authority.
Many political and economic ideologies have different outlooks on the role the government should have in our society. More government regulations and oversight do not necessarily provide better quality services and products. Likewise, people who advocate for political freedoms, individualism, and free markets are libertarians. In essence, libertarianism is a set of ideological beliefs that preserve individual freedoms, promotes less government, and economic liberalization (Boaz, 1999). “The Libertarian Summer Camp” podcast by planet money presented an array of opinions suggesting that there should be less government involvement in our lives and daily decisions.
As stated in The Federalist No. 10, James Madison explains the arguments occurring between those who possess property of land and those who are not. The unfair distribution of property brings a conflict between classes, explaining a common cause of factions. In fact, the antagonism between the “creditors” and “debtors”, defined by James Madison, was impacted strongly by their opinions. Additionally, their opinion on certain topics such as religion and the Government are naturally influenced by their diversity. Therefore, different perceptions based on their “different degree of activity” plummet high into the category of creating their own distinguished groups of what they favor known as factions.
Many United States philosophies still linger around in today’s society. Puritanism is the thought that God was right and you needed to follow God on everything. The Deists thought that God is good, but one should go to nature to search for answers. The Transcendentalists believed that you can go to nature and search for answers if that is what you desire and need to do.
The U.S 's first government was created on September 17, 1787 when the US Constitution was signed. This event brought together all 13 states by a unanimous vote. With this, our new government was formed, but now that we have this new system and much more freedom, what exactly is the purpose of our government? Is it to run our businesses? make treaties? or just to say that we have one?
Limited Government is important because it keeps the Government in check. Without Limited Government the politicians will walk all over us. There is a reason why checks and balanced. The three separate branches of government are there to keep politicians from abusing their power.

1) Government may intervene in a market in order to try and restore economic efficiency. One of the ways the government intervention can help overcome market failure is through the introduction of a price floors and price ceilings. If prices are seen to be too high, price ceiling or a maximum price could be imposed on a market in order to moderate the price of the product. This policy is often used when there are concerns that consumers cannot afford an essential product, such as groceries. The effect of a maximum price could create a shortage as it could lead to demand exceeding supply for that particular good.
