I always knew church was where people was to worship God but I didn’t understand why people had put so much faith into the pastor. As I got older, I realized that a pastor is counseling people in the same area their still reading and studying. I don’t believe that all pastors have good intentions. The pastors main objective is to convince people that he knows the right way and believe what he tells you. I honestly feel that church is brainwashing. The pastor wants people to feel that Christs body and blood are actually there on the altar, that were actually standing before the Almighty, and people really get distracted and start to believe that. It is a part of a Global University affiliated with Christians that is located in Springfield, Missouri. The university has services in over 140 countries, including the United States. They are taught in many different languages so everybody understands and feel like a member of the church. The Grace Assembly of God was founded by Reverend Lula Ashmore and Reverend Vallance Baird in 1949. It started with about 100 members and over time a lot more people joined. It was definitely a new experience but I didn’t go in blind. When I entered the church service I knew what to expect. I did my research and learned the vision and mission of the church. The vision is to impact eternity by reaching the lost and training the found, everywhere. The mission is to serve the local church and Christian community through spreading the word. I honestly feel that church is brainwashing. The pastor wants people to feel that Christ’s body and blood are actually there on the altar, that we’re actually standing before the Almighty, and people really get distracted and start to believe that. The vision and mission basically gives me an idea that the goal is to train people to believe what the pastor believe. The pastor is human just like everyone else that’s putting their trust in him. Also, I didn’t understand why people would refer to the pastor as “father”. I feel the pastor projects himself as a spiritual man that’s holy and sanctified. He finds a connection and successfully uses that emotional to motivate and control
