Two guests went out on a boat, but none returned. There has been no evidence of the second guest, Carl Gram, later found out to be Chester Gillette. The woman he went out onto the lake with, Grace Brown, was found dead with a head wound. They were staying at Glenmore Hotel, the most exquisite hotel of Big Moose Lake, before she died, and he went missing. One of the main questions that comes from this evidence is… What happened to Chester Gillette? He took all of his belongings with him out on the boat, so he would not have to return back to the Glenmore after she was murdered. It became obvious once the letters were turned in that this was no accident and that it was a planned murder. There would be little blood with the way she was murdered, so it would be very easy to cover up as an accident, but since the letters are in the government's hands, we have more evidence than he intended. One of the questions that has come from all of this evidence is… Did Grace Brown know that Chester intended to kill her and her baby out on the lake that day, or did she just think he wanted to meet up with her to run away so they could raise the child together? There is not enough evidence to provide an answer for these questions, but based on the fact that she intended to have the letters burned, there was probably at least a seed of an idea that he planned to do that. So with that, the murder of Grace Brown has been solved, but this will be a known murder for an extensive period of time, because there are so many unknowns to the case. The most helpful thing for the officials to find would
