August 29th, 2012 It’s raining down again. Grace Ciotta stares the front doors of Mickle Ray High School. It’s high school now which means she gets a new start. Gone are the days where she would get bullied by all the other kids. The skies are dark, wet and gray. They’re full of gloom and sorrow and Grace isn’t sure she’ll get used to her new town. Her mother tells her that Washington isn’t all that bad. Grace hopes she doesn’t know better. So she’s nervous. Grace doesn’t know anyone and knows she’s socially awkward. She’s been that way all her life. So when her mother, Virginia, told Grace they were moving, Grace could’ve not been more relieved but anxious about it. They had agreed to go together after a few texts. Sara’s there too in Emily’s car. Sara’s a good friend, Elizabeth thinks when she greets her. She shouldn’t be like this, at least not like me. I wonder if Andrew knows....? Sara is Andrew’s twin sister. They’re both Juniors opposed to all their friends. Elizabeth likes them both. There’s a couch surrounding a table where all the liquor is being held at. Emily and Sara are talking to each other, seeing that they’re best friends since Sara’s Freshman year. Andrew interrupts them, sitting between the two in the couch. He gives them the idea to take shots, increasing the amount by each person. Already faded, everyone agrees with laughs while Andrew goes inside to get all the shot glasses he has. Cody stares at Elizabeth, watching how she rolls her eyes towards the sky.
