Grace is a young lady attending the Richmond Middle School, in Richmond, Missouri. She currently lives at home with her mother Stephanie Trisler, and her baby sister, Lily, in Richmond, Missouri. Grace continues to spend every other weekend with her dad, Johnathan Trisler, who lives in Carrollton, Missouri, in a shared custody arrangement. Grace currently wears glasses and has regular eye exams at Children’s Mercy Northland. In addition, Grace had surgery on her right eye at 1 year of age and she continues to have poor vision in that eye. Grace was dismissed from Language services in February, 2017, because she has met her goals and is no longer in need of services. She is working below her general education peers in all academic areas. In the area of Written Expression, Grace struggles the most with capitalizing words in the middle of sentences. Grace struggles the most with not repeating herself in her story. Her capitalization has improved but will still for get to capitalize I by itself. In the area of Basic Reading, Grace has struggled with her 3rd grade daily reading this year. Grace enjoys reading aloud in class and when she comes upon a word she does not know she sounds it out and/or uses context clues. Grace continues to struggle with determining the meaning of unknown words; however, when words are within a text she is able to use context clues to determine the meaning of a word. In the area of Reading Comprehension, Grace has read stories and some are read aloud in class by other students that containing 4th grade level reading material. Grace continues to read two grade levels below her current grade placement, which is at the 6th grade
