I wanted to quickly e-mail you because I am interested in applying for one of these cubicles in South Murray Room 122. I believe that I will use the office space for research space, but also as a space where I can communicate with other history majors who I can ask for aid, or even offer aid to those who need assistance. This assistance could range to a number of things, whether it is with research or even to proofread other History essays (if that is what is desired). Additionally, I would be located right there in Murray, so if I needed to communicate with my professors, or any History professor for that matter, I can do so with relative ease. In terms of the final question, I feel like I have engaged with History department community both
In the lore of Tlingit, Haida and other northern Native Americans a raven was both a trickster spirit and the creator of the world. The most interesting story about the raven in Tlingit folklore is the one concerning his responsibility for placement of the Sun in the sky. The story starts with Naas-sháki Shaan – The Old Man, who was very rich. Among his riches were three legendary boxes.

When I did the interview to Miss. Zuleth Lucero I learned that she wanted to go to law school but when she walked into her first law political science class she was discouraged because of her gender and race. Zuleth’s comment made me realize that many women in America are probably in the same situation as her. What I also learned found in this interview is that Miss. Lucero is well educated women whose dreams were shaped because she was discouraged when she realized that she was not going to be able to do well in Law school.
Wow, what a great and accomplished 4 years it’s been for us. Heck, it’s been an accomplished 10 years for us. Marching band; copious amounts of people scoff at the sound of those words. I often hear students commenting on how easy marching band is, how we don’t train like the football players do. At Anderson High School, that’s not the case, the marching band trains for just as long. As a band of over 125 individuals, it takes determination, pride, and confidence to achieve the goals we have set forth to accomplish. As a leader of the saxophone section, I know what it’s like to face failure, to overcome and turn it into success and to march on with confidence.

I 've learned while conducting these interviews that both indivuials have similar issues within the healthcare system. one of the biggest issues both interviewees faces was the cost of healthcare and health insurance coverage. One of the interviewees has a chronic illness, and at times has to decide if she wants to purchase her needed medication or to buy groceries for herself and her family. The other interviewee although employed, doesn 't have health insurance coverage because its too costly every month. it seems they 're both appreciative of the fact there is a somewhat healthcare system with health care providers and professionals available to them, but feels its only available if you have health insurance coverage.
Lone Star High School is a location where students can feel secure and have many opportunities to showcase their skills and leadership qualities. Our campus is built upon five figurative pillars; Integrity, Strength, Stewardship, Loyalty and Perseverance. These pillars are what make us the admirable school that we are today. I believe everyone of our students must have these five qualities in order to ensure success now and later on in the future. As a student I believe that for one to have integrity they must show signs of righteous ethical morals.
Introduction The interview was conducted on Saturday, 5th of August 2017, at 4 pm. This interview session lasted about 30 minutes. My interviewee is a 56 years old Malay male, Mr. Hady (pseudonym). In the speech “Steve Jobs Commencement Address to Stanford University, Class of 2005” , Apple CEO Steve Jobs provides his audience with personal experiences and the rough periods he went through in his early years before founding apple that helped him succeed. With the use of his stories Jobs creates a character that prevails through obstacles and manages to achieve his goals, which inspires his audience to look up to him and show that failure is sometimes necessary to succeed. At the beginning of his speech, Steve Jobs begins describing his life with a series of stories that helped him reach his success, this helps Jobs create ethos because his audience will understand the hardships he went through to be where he is today, instead of just thinking of Jobs as the founder of Apple and not really knowing about the struggles he had to go through.
